Who I am

At KR Therapies, I believe in thriving not surviving. I am a West Yorkshire based Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) for common mental health problems such as depression, PTSD, OCD, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, panic, and phobias. I have a special interest in mental health linked to long-term physical health.

I have over 6 years’ experience working in NHS services. I began my journey as a support worker for common mental health problems and progressed to training in low and high CBT. Why’s this important to you? It means I have a range evidence based tools available to use to help you live by what’s important to you even in the face of demanding situations and the ever changing world.

I work within an evidence based framework ensuring you get the most effective treatment whilst still allowing space for our individual styles and stories. I have attended specialist training in using CBT for people with long term conditions such as chronic pain, diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome/Myalgic encephalomyelitis, life after cancer, coronary heart disease, persistent physical symptoms, and related mental health difficulties. My interest in long term conditions comes not just from my job but from my own lived experience – what does lived experience mean for me? I have to practice what I preach in a nutshell.

My vision

My vision is simple, to provide evidence based treatment that takes into account the whole of you, help you to identify what really matters to you, make a commitment to living by what’s important and propel you towards your goals.
